Having an amputation is a life altering event.Amputees have common needs that are not always met by the people and organizations involved in their care. The staff atCAMPStrong have teamed with local experts on prosthetics and orthotics to create a comprehensive program to follow you from surgery to home and beyond.Our team will assist you every step of the way, because we believe no one should have to struggle to navigate the healthcare system alone following an amputation.

What can CAMP do for you?
Together, we will work with a prosthetist to coordinate your care from initial temporary prosthesis to a final product and adjustments along the way.
Program Features
Post operative consult as indicated by surgeon
Rehabilitation tailored to individual needs
Support group meetings and resources
A prosthetist will meet with you and discuss prosthetic options
Weekly progress notes by our CAMP team for your surgeon or primary doctor
Education about wound management, skin integrity, and diet
Referral to a prosthetist for continued care and follow-up
In-house wound team for daily wound care
In addition, we have partnered with a local hospital system’s limb salvage team to provide post-surgical care when saving the limb is an option. Our team will assist you every step of the way, from surgery to rehabilitation and home. In addition to the CAMP program, the Limb Salvage Program is also offered at Coldspring, Good Samaritan, and NorthPoint.
